The also had some helpful feedback on how to improve our trailer:
- Lighting - The judges felt that the beginning of our trailer did not have great lighting and it was difficult to see the picture. This was because we did not have portable lights and as it was beginning to get dark outside. In future when filming we need to manage our time more carefully and choose more appropriate ties to film specific scenes. We also should use better equipment that will capture and better image as we used a different camera in our first few scenes to the second half of the trailer.
- Our mentors also said that we should have had more action scenes with quicker shots to make the trailer even more fast paced, exhilarating and ultimately more frightening.
- They also suggested that we had one of two more shots leading up to the part when they see the killer, also known as the disruption according to Todorov's theory (before the recognition of disruption). If I could change it I would probably place a shot of the camera on the teenagers threw a door to give the audience the illusion that someone is watching them.
